In a nation that refused to take oaths, the IRS would have no power whatever, like a fog that just disappears in the morning sun. As Tolstoy shares in the final pages of his book, The Kingdom Of God Is With You, an individual can stop oath taking altogether, like a horse harnessed to a wagon and be dragged with the honor of his action; however, a more practical move may be to educate all the others harnessed to the wagon of state violence and bring the wagon to a stop together.
This is my campaign.
So the next time someone tells you to "render to Caesar" and pay your taxes, note that this was a placation of the state and the real future was intended to be:
1) Do not take oaths (ends the state and all its systems of violence).
2) Lay not up for yourselves treasures on earth (mitigates envy and covetousness and refocusses life on the family and community).
3) Render not evil for evil (ends war).
4) Go not to law (ends the legal system).
5) Judge not, condemn not (ends bigotry, discrimination, the prison system and the death penalty).
Conclusion: Peace on earth/ The Kingdom.
