I am staying at Whisky Pete's on the border of California and Nevada last night and tonight to get my 34 hour reset on my hours of service. I like the prime rib out here in Nevada.
Anyway, I noticed that they have the Bonnie and Clyde Death Car on display here in the hotel/ casino. Most all the bullet holes are interestingly on Clyde's side of the car, with several coming to dent from the inside on Bonnie's side. It appears that they nailed Bonnie through the windshield on her side.
I have a Great Uncle "Red" who told everyone in our family a story of being a newspaper boy in Lake Dallas, Texas and selling a newspaper to Clyde. Around back of a country store, he saw Bonnie and Clyde, Clyde reading the newspaper and shooting cans off a fence post. Uncle Red had a good reputation and died a couple of years ago at age 91 a 32d degree Mason, so I'm sure he was telling the truth.
