Rule of Law (Temporal) or Rule of Law Eternal (Truth Only)

One of the interesting truths that I learned helping out Ron Paul's campaign the last couple of times was that even he believed the U. S. Constitution needed a tweak here and there, meaning that he recognized that even it was not inerrant.  This is basically the central thesis of Leo Tolstoy's book, The Kingdom Of God Is Within You (perhaps, the most important commentary ever written), that nothing man touches is inerrant.

Consequently, we must focus our attention not to these supposed flawless documents to guide us, but to Truth Only, else we will find ourselves in eternal conflicts (even war) over technicalities.  Tolstoy's student, M. K. Gandhi, picked up on this subtle problem and decided to rethink everything based on a Truth Only perspective.  Rather than assuming a constitution or a holy book was flawless because some one told him it was, he made each item prove itself, as an internalized truth before he would apply it to life.

And this is how Gandhian Philosophy was born.  And it is why Gandhians are so respected around the world, as political leaders and thinkers.
