Chapman's Email Exchange With City Leader

Actually, I'm not convinced that carbon footprints are a real problem;  however, I do see the possibility that we may be dooming ourselves with carbon emissions.  I think it is prudent to mitigate any human causes of change anywhere, as long as we are not using violence.  And violence has many dimensions from a Tolstoyan-Gandhian perspective; primarily state-centric.

Xeriscaping should be done through education alone, utilizing any social capital persons like yourself might have.  This is how Truth and Non-Violence are utilized to effect social change in a world dedicated to peace.

Thank you Mr. Chapman. The ordinance also covers weeds which would typically exceed those heights if not kept. Me personally, if we're worried about carbon footprints, we should also be looking at ways to encourage xeriscape to reduce water usage for non-native plantings.

Respectfully,

(City Leader)
